#planning, words matter, so saying the right thing does too

planner looking at the emerging landscape
If you only have a moment, make that moment say what you mean

I called out a press release from an FMCG manufacturer and brand owner today. Two messages back got me thinking.

Communication hasn’t changed one bit over – what has changed, and dramatically, is how we interact with messaging: dwell time, the multiplicity of simultaneous messages that we are all now assimilating – or being asked to. It is, I see it as, over load.

So when you have something to say, say it clearly and – in terms of marcomms and PR – check it for clarity.

One word stood out which led me to ask who wrote this – the marcomms team or the CEO?

Absenteeism. A word for the ’70 and maybe early 80’s.
